Hi! I’m Asbesteous. I created this blog because I want to have a hobby where I scream into the void… about pretty much anything.
I’d like to talk about my difficulties living with this body of mine; not only that, but so many other things, too. Like, food I like, memories that haunt me, the minecraft modpacks I play, and the dreams I have. Oh, and the books I read and the games I play, I guess.
I also happen to be an aspiring writer, in fiction and perhaps poetry. I’ve always liked writing. I started in French, then with my identity troubles, could not continue writing in such a restrictive language. So I moved to writing in English, a language that doesn’t link grammar to pronouns. At least, not as strictly.
I actually have a published poem in a literature magazine named Quist, organized biannually by the Quebec Writers Federation, an organization offering support to anglophone writers living in Quebec. I urge all of you to check out their entire third issue as I find all of the submissions absolutely wonderful.
The other websites I’ll make will be in a page titled “Non-blog websites of mine”. There will be the main domain, for showing off art and stories and to serve as a directory; then there will be a “writing” subdomain to put short stories, technically unpublished pieces, and poems.
